After dating for over 10 years, and being engaged for over a year, we finally tied the knot on May 2, 2015, in Ivy Lea, Ontario. The week prior to our wedding was hectic and filled with wedding related tasks. After being engaged for over 16 months I was expecting for the last week to be smooth sailing. I had big plans, the one I was the most excited about was to do all the Spring gardening before the wedding, so that the garden would be free to grow while we were on honeymoon. Well that did not happen! Obviously, making my own wedding cake was definitively not the best time saving idea!
Instead I scrambled to get all my wedding DIY tasks accomplished before Michael’s family from oversea arrived for lunch the day before our wedding. When everybody was comfortably sitting in the garden and my then future husband was manning the grill, I return to my program printing task. Finishing just in time to devour my Key West Chicken!
We then packed the car and rushed to get on the road to drive to our venue, one hour and a half away, for our rehearsal. Of course we got stock in tones of traffic, but everyone else did too, so we were able to host a successful rehearsal in this gorgeous setting!

We had planned a rehearsal dinner at the charming Gananoque restaurant Riva for all our guests that arrived early to spend our last night as fiancés with us. The décor was charming and the food was AMAZING!! I had the best gnocchi I have ever tasted, and definitively in the top food I have had! Unfortunately my brain was in wedding mode, and I left my camera at the hotel.
