How to Avoid 5 Things Many Brides Regret not Having for their Wedding
1 – DAY OFF COORDINATOR
If you have already planned your full wedding day a year before your wedding, you are probably not thinking about hiring a wedding planner. As a bride, I had a really specific vision for our wedding day and wanted to get everything done myself. It worked out until the day of our wedding. Although our venue had an amazing wedding coordinator, their responsibility was to ensure everything at the venue worked seamlessly, not to coordinate with all the vendors day of, and ensure every little decor detail is at the right place. I was extremely lucky and my step mom jumped in the morning of the wedding to take care of the last details, but I was still extremely stressed on the day, and wasn’t 100 percent present throughout the day due to the stress.
Although our wedding turned out amazing, so many other brides also wished they had a day of coordinator to ensure the day go smoothly without a hitch.
2 – A VIDEOGRAPHER
It is so easy to forget to hire a videographer for your wedding, and so many brides that go without one wished they had a beautifully curated video of their wedding. Many couples think they don’t need a videographer because they have an amazing photographer. But the truth is that an amazing videographer can make you feel and relive your wedding in a whole new way. I highly recommend you watch some wedding video to see what I mean.

3 – A GREAT BOUQUET
A great bouquet brings your wedding photos to life. It is so easy to be tempted to save on your bouquet by going the DIY route. However, a great bouquet is not significantly more expensive than an average bouquet in your overall wedding budget and it can make a world of difference in your wedding photos and really elevate your wedding.
I know it is hard to know what type of flowers bouquet to get, but a good florist will help you bring your vision to life. If you are on a budget, I recommend spending more on your bouquet, and cutting the number of other flower arrangements by using bridesmaids’ bouquets as arrangements to keep you on budget. If you are flexible with the type of flowers, you can save money by choosing flowers that are in season.
4 – A GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER
So many brides regret not hiring a great photographer for their one and only wedding day and are stuck with images they don’t love and don’t want to put on their walls. As photographers, we know that all photographers have a different style and it is so important to choose one that has a style you love. It is so important to have wedding photos you are proud to hang on your walls and have a wedding album you want to flip through regularly to relive your wedding day and pass down to your children.

You will be spending more time with your photographer than your spouse on your wedding day. Make sure you would like having them around on such an important day. We absolutely believe you need a wedding album to be able to enjoy your wedding photos regularly. If you are on a budget, you can wait until your first anniversary to purchase your album; however, many photographers offer a discount on your album when purchased prior to your wedding day.
5- HAIR AND MAKEUP TRIAL
Hair and makeup is a big stressor for many brides on wedding days, and having a trial done beforehand can be a game change. I have heard so many stories of brides doing a hair and makeup trial and hating the look. I myself loved the hair, but hated the makeup. I had my trial done the day of my bridal shower and have mixed feeling about that day because I didn’t like the makeup. I was so happy it happened during the trial and not on my wedding day. The trial allowed me to know what didn’t work with my wedding makeup and provide strict guidance to the makeup artist on my wedding day. I kept the same makeup artist and it worked for me, but I heard of many brides who changed hair or makeup artist after their trial.
