Kyle and Stephanie Dow’s Lake Engagement

We had to postpone their Saturday engagement session because the forecast was not in our favour. When the end of the afternoon came, it was still dry out, so Kyle and Stephanie used their newly acquired free evening to go on a bike ride. While they were out, they got caught in one of the biggest downpour of the summer. It does seem like every time they go for a nice bike ride, they get caught in a downpour! Not that they mind too much since they love the outdoors so much!

Their love of the outdoors is why Kyle proposed while on a romantic camping trip at Lac Poisson Blanc, near Cantley. It was a private weekend where they enjoyed canoeing and exploring. A couple of weekends ago, they returned with some friends for the long weekend, and they were able to enjoy the beautiful lake where they got engaged.

Postponing Kyle and Steph’s engagement session was a great decision, because the following day the weather and light were gorgeous. Although it was quite a hot out, it made for a perfect evening for an engagement session at Dow’s Lake. We started the session in open shade to stay cooler, and once the sun came down a bit and the temperature moderated, we moved to the water.
