Luskville Countryside Engagement

I met with Lindsey and Kory at the Luskville falls to photograph their Luskville countryside engagement session. With the draught we’ve been having, the fall was fully dry! It was such a hot and humid day that the short walk to the fall was enough to warm us up for the session (little understatement here!) There was also so many bugs that loved to fly in my eyes. Not the easiest way to photograph couples when you cannot see or open your eyes! So I was really happy that I always carry bug spray in my photography bag!

Lindsey and Kory drove over an hour for their Luskville countryside engagement session. They really like Luskville and I cannot blame them, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking!! She started the session near the falls where there are beautiful fields with mountain views. One of my favourite part of their Luskville countryside engagement session was when they walked down this gorgeous valley. Because of the drought, some of the field was golden adding dimension to the photographs.

They wanted countryside engagement session and we looked high and low for a farm closer to their home. But a couple of days before their session I was able to chat with a wonderful couple who own Lavender Ridge Farm in Luskville. Although their lavender crop did not survive the winter, we were able to visit their winery. They also do tastings on Saturdays and Sundays! Once we were done photographing their engagement, we were able to chat with the owners about wine making and craft distillery, because Kory has a distillery and is in the process of creating the perfect vodka for Caesars, and my brother has a micro distillery and he makes locally sourced gin, aged gin, moonshine (unaged bourbon), bourbon, scotch, rum and acetum (the last four are still aging and will be on the market in the next few years).
