Skating on the Canal Giveaway Winner

I am excited to announce the winner of my website and brand launch giveaway!

Actually, winners because we got a tie! Since our judges could not land on a single couple, we will be giving away two Engagement Sessions!

Tiffani & Christine met playing hockey. Tiffani was new on the team because she was replacing her friend who had broken her ankle and needed her to play on the team or they would forfeit. Tiffani didn’t know anybody in Ottawa, but as luck would have it, she was introduced to this amazing girl who she had never even imagined existed nor would she have the chance to meet. Needlessly to say, they fell madly in love with one another. The referee even told them on their first few shifts together to stop acting like a married couple! They have been inseparable for the last two years and Christine asked Tiffani to marry her on New Year’s Eve.

Julie & David were introduced by a friend of his that Julie was volunteering for. They both had season tickets for the Redblacks inaugural season but on opposite sides. They decided to meet after one of the games at the Barley Mow. By this time they had only texted and had spoken on the phone once. By the next time they met they were already inseparable. A month or so after, they attended his friend’s wedding (coincidentally Julie knew the bride) and that night David asked Julie to be his girlfriend.

A year and 3 months later he proposed! Julie was very surprised the night he proposed. They had arrived home late after an evening with friends, and David asked if she wanted an early Christmas gift. She responded that she could wait, but he insisted “just a small one, it’s in the tree”. She poked around and saw a filter ornament with a heart between two question marks, she froze, grabbed the ornament and turned it over to see “will you marry me Julie” hand written on the other side. She was in shock! Julie turned around and Dave was on one knee with the ring. After asking him if he was serious, he asked again and she said yes!

You understand now who it was impossible four our judges to only choose one couple!
