Timing of First Dance

For Brides

One of the best piece of advice I can give to brides is to consider having your first dance and father daughter dance before the dinner following the grand entrance.

I didn’t think about this for my own wedding, I wish I did, instead we had our first dance later in the evening and a few key people missed it.

We also had guest dance before the first dance, which is not ideal, but allowed everyone to have fun!

Finally there wasn’t any natural light to give my first dance photos gorgeous light!

Why you should have your first dance before the dinner?

Light is still great, it will make great photos!
Guests are all there, no one will miss it because they were elsewhere or because grandma has already left to go home.
After dinner and the speeches, guests will want to dance!
