There are a million romantic proposal ideas on the Internet. But the best proposal is on that feels like you as a couple. Choose somewhere meaningful or romantic. Everyone will be asking how and where you proposed, so better make sure you love the answer 🙂 You love hiking and out are out exploring the outdoors every weekend, proposing when exploring a new place or hiking mountain may be a good idea for you as a couple. If you love skating and you met playing hockey, a skating proposal on the canal followed by a hot chocolate and beaver tail may be perfect for you two. If you are foodies, why not take her out to the newest Westboro restaurant and propose over dinner. If you love traveling, why not go explore a new place together – a day trip or exotic destination – and propose there. Propose first

If you are planning many activities. Start with the proposal and order the other activities around it. It will allow you to enjoy the day without being a nervous wreck. Plus, it will make the rest of the day more meaningful and romantic. Don’t listen to this advice if you are treating her to her favourite self-care (read hair and makeup & nails) before you pop the question. Also, if you are planning to propose somewhere requiring a plane ride, make sure you keep the ring in your carry on, because if it is in your pocket, you will have to remove it to go through the metal detector.

Hire a professional photographer

She may not have told you, but she secretly hopes that the proposal will be caught on camera to be able to share the moment with her family, friends and, one day, your daughter. We absolutely love photographing proposals and would love to chat about your plans to surprise the love of your live with a marriage proposal she will never forget. We freed up some time in our schedule for last minute December proposals!

Bonus tip number 1: for even better images, keep the light in mind when you plan the proposal time. To be sure, ask the photographer for the best time for the light that day.

Make sure she loves the way she looks

If you are hiring a photographer to capture the proposal, make sure she loves the way she looks. Because the marriage proposal is a surprise, she likely doesn’t know what’s coming. If your fiancée is the type of girl who love looking her best on photographs, make sure you find a ruse (her BFF may be able to help) to make her dress up, do her hair & makeup and get her nails done before you pop the question. If she lives and go out in yoga pants and messy buns, and never wears makeup or gets her nails done, it may not be as important to her, but you may still want to check with her girl friend who might have some advice for you.
